We Got By - Al Jarreau

Happy 26th Anniversary That's right, it's our 26th wedding anniversary. I was trying to figure out what song to post. I decided that I would pick a song off of a playlist that I created for my wife a few years back. There are several songs on the playlist by Al Jarreau and they are all off the Tenderness CD and this is one of those songs. I always find this song very touching. In the early years of our marriage we didn't have much; I was a student. I didn't worry very much about it. We got by... As the years went on we got more comfortable. We did more than just get by. Lately times have been very tough. We are truly struggling. But, we are getting by. Happy Anniversary!

My Favorite Things - Al Jarreau

My wife and I just got back from a long weekend in Destin. That is one of my favorite things. Maybe that is why this song was in my head this morning as I was waking up. We really like this song as well as most of the songs that Al Jarreau has done. There is just something about the song that takes you away to a nice place; maybe it is just a reminder that there are many good things in life that we have experienced. We once had the privilege to see Al Jarreau live at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi. It was a great show, one of the best we have seen.
